Promotions & Live Limits
Free-trip giveaways and generation caps. Ads and Turnstile live under
.
Backed by public.app_promotions — a save takes effect on the next trip.
What “off” means
Free trips is a giveaway: off means the perk is withdrawn (paywall from trip one). Daily generation cap is a guardrail: off restores the built-in limit of 10 rather than removing it.
Ads & Auth Controls
Rewarded unlocks, banner ads, and Turnstile. Same
app_promotions table as Promotions — client flags refresh on the
next app open / access refresh.

What “off” means
The primary Ads switch is the master giveaway: off means subscription-only (no unlock sheet, no banners, no post-trip rewarded). Nested counts and the banner toggle are ignored while Ads is off — turn Ads on to edit them. Ad trips per day caps completed rewarded unlocks in a rolling 24 hours (default 1). Turnstile off hides the captcha in-app — also disable Supabase Auth CAPTCHA for the same window, or sign-in still fails server-side.
Push Notifications
Promotional pushes go only to users who opted into emails & push
(marketing_emails_opt_in) and have a device token.
VIP upgrade and in-trip arrival alerts are transactional.
